LED Solar Street Light is an extremely versatile and robust solar parking lot light, it is perfect for all kind of weather conditions.This compact solar powered street light provides extra lighting easily in no time. Installation is straightforward; only 4 bolts need to be tightened onto a pole (pole not included). The unit can also be wall mounted. No trenching or connection to the electric grid is needed. The all-in-one LED solar street light is perfect for retrofitting old electric powered fixture or new installations.



High Intensity Discharge lamps (HID) are generally used for urban street light and are based on principle of gas discharge, thus the intensity is not controllable by any voltage reduction method as the discharge path is broken. LED lights are the future of lighting, because of their low energy consumption and long life they are fast replacing conventional lights world over. White Light Emitting Diode (LED) can replace the HID lamps where intensity control is possible by pulse width modulation. The intensity control helps in saving energy during late nights while traffic density on the streets is low. A programmable microcontroller of 8051 family is engaged to provide different intensities at the different times of night using PWM technique, for energy saving for solar based system, using a charge controller for battery charging, overload and deep discharge protection.



The project is designed for LED based street lights with auto intensity control, powered by solar energy. The intensity control is achieved through a microcontroller of 8051 family. The solar system stores energy in a battery during day time and automatically operates street light in evening with varying intensity control to minimize waste of energy.High quality solar panel absorbs sunlight and convert into electricity energy, then charges maintenance-free battery and finally LED street lights automatically when day off, auto-off when day break.
